Title sequence for the documentary 'Battle Of The Sexes'



Using plinths to show the struggle not only between the 2 central characters but also the woman's movement of the time. We photographed not only tennis poses but also represented women and men of the era to reinforce the theme of the feature. To create authenticity, we used a re creation of the sportswear used by Billy Jean King and Bobby Riggs for the photo shoot.

 

The animation and graphic style is inspired by the time the feature is set as well as the animations and design of Saul Bass
